Traditional Aikido
Starting June 6th, Saturdays 10:00 to 11:30 am.
- Curriculum includes Internal Aikido and Weapons training
- Ages 12+ (under 18 requires guardian approval)
- Gi required, hakama required for yudansha
- Beginners welcome!
- $15 drop-in fee; free for BJJ members of Elevated Martial Arts
- No classes on July 4th or July 24th (Boulder Summer Camp)
Taught by Jeremy Nelson
Jeremy Nelson started practicing Aikido in 1997 under Knut Bauer Shihan at Central Illinois Aikikai, from there he trained in Salt Lake City before moving to Gunnison Colorado and started training under Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, of Boulder Aikikai. In 2010 he moved to Colorado Springs and was an active member of Pikes Peak Aikido.
In 2023 he moved to Pacifica, California and was a member of Aikido Institute of San Francisco until moving back to Colorado in 2025. He has attended many seminars over the years by such Aikido Shihans as Mitsugi Saotome Sensei, Christian Tissier Sensei, and Frank Doran Sensei. His current rank is Sandan (3rd degree black belt).
